Rapid Rail First Look Unveiled

Durga Shankar Mishra, Secretary, Ministry of Housing and Urban Development, unveiled the first look of India’s first Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) train on Friday (25 September 2020).

During this time Vinay Kumar Singh, Managing Director of National Capital Transport Corporation (NCRTC) and members of the board of NCRTC were also present.

Senior officials of the Ministry, NCRTC and Bombardier were also present on the occasion. The RRTS train with a design speed of 180 kmph is the first modern system of its kind in India.

These aerodynamic trains made of stainless steel will be light and fully air-conditioned. Each coach will have six (three on each side) automatic doors for entry and exit, while business class coaches will have four (two on each side) doors.

Apart from business classes, this facility will also be available : Indian Rapid Rail

Each train will have a business class coach to promote public transport. A food dispensing machine will also be installed inside the business class coach.

RRTS trains have 2×2 transverse comfortable seats, enough room to seat passengers (Legroom), ample space between the seats on both sides for comfortable traveling by standing passengers, luggage rack, mobile / laptop charging There will also be sockets, Wi-Fi and other passenger-centric facilities.

Rapid Rail is inspired by the Lotus Temple of Delhi

The design of RRTS trains is inspired by the iconic Lotus Temple of New Delhi. The Lotus Temple is the symbol of an energy-efficient building, as its design maintains the natural flow of light and air.

Similarly, the RRTS train will also have a light and temperature control system that will give passengers a comfortable experience despite the reduced energy consumption. The RRTS train equipped with modern facilities will be a unique combination of new age technology and India’s rich heritage.

The Rapid Rail Project will be operated by NCRTC, a joint venture company of the central government and the states. NCRTC is the nodal agency implementing the Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) project in the National Capital Region.

The National Capital Region Transport Corporation, which claims to travel from Delhi to Meerut (Rapid Rail Project Delhi to Meerut) in less than an hour, is moving forward in its work. The actual look of the rapid rail (Rapid Rail Project Delhi to Meerut) was unveiled on Friday. It showed exactly what a rapid train running from Delhi to Meerut would look like. Its preparations have been completed.

The NCRTC has given the construction of the trains to Bombardier India. All trains will be built at Bombardier India’s Savli plant, Gujarat. Bombardier has designed the RRTS trains at the Hyderabad facility. On Friday, people got to see the real form of the train.

Work is being done by dividing two places from Delhi to Meerut. Construction work is being done from Sahibabad to Duhai in the first phase and from Shatabdinagar (Rapid Rail Project in Meerut) to Duhai in the second phase.

So far, over 2500 piles, more than 210 pile caps and more than 100 pillars are ready for the foundation of the viaduct on the primary section between Duhai to Sahibabad. The construction of four stations Sahibabad, Ghaziabad, Guldhar and Duhai on this section is also in full swing. The work of launching the span of the viaduct is also in progress.

The NCRTC has also started construction on a 33 km stretch between Duhai to Shatabdi Nagar (MeerutRapid Rail Project in Meerut). With this, construction work is now underway on more than 50 km of the 82 km long corridor.

Elevated segment (Rapid Rail Project Delhi to Meerut) in priority section of Rapid Rail is being constructed at Vasundhara Casting Yard. The design speed of the rapid rail (Rapid Rail Project Delhi to Meerut) will be 180 km/h. In view of this, the viaduct is being constructed. The construction speed in the casting yard will accelerate the construction of super structures.

Through the Delhi-Rewari-Alwar Rapid Rail Transit System (RRTS), a distance of 180 km from Alwar to Delhi can now be travelled in just 104 minutes.

Rapid Rail Corridor to be built between Delhi to Panipat, the journey will be completed in 45 minutes.

The Modi government at the Center has taken the important decision to establish a Rapid Rail Corridor between Delhi and Panipat, in collaboration with the Manohar government of Haryana. Under this, a rapid rail will run between Kaale khan in Delhi to Panipat, whose survey is being done. The DPR (Rapid Rail Project Delhi to Panipat) will be prepared after the survey is completed. Due to this rail, the distance between Delhi to Panipat will be reduced to just 45 minutes.

Chief Minister Manohar Lal made this announcement during the Question Hour in the monsoon session of the Legislative Assembly. The Chief Minister said that there is a plan to run a rapid rail (Rapid Rail Project Delhi to Panipat) on six sides from Sarai Kale Khan in Delhi. The survey of rapid rail system up to Panipat has started. He said that the stoppage of Rapid Rail will also be made in Gannaur.

Rapid train will depart from here : The railway line of rapid rail (Rapid Rail Project Delhi to Panipat) will be 111 km long. It has 88.7 km in Haryana. Five stations will be built in Panipat, while a depot will be built on about 125 acres in Bhainswal village.

Under the new plan (Rapid Rail Project Delhi to Panipat), the train will run on the bridge along the highway. Drain number one is the land of the irrigation department along the highway towards Haridwar bypass in Panipat. A station will be built over it. SkyLark near the Secretariat in Panipat, Circus Grounds will be a station combining the land of PWD office.

Rapid rail will run soon in Ghaziabad city of UP, 90 km. Distance will be covered in 62 minutes.

Rapid rail will run from Sarai Kale Khan in Delhi to Modipuram in Meerut and two corridors in Meerut city. The total length of the Rapid Rail will be 90 km, which will have 22 stations and this distance will be covered in 62 minutes. Work on the Rapid Rail will start from July and will be completed by June 2024. Its total estimated cost will be 32 thousand 598 crores. The metro and rapid rail from Paratapur to Modipuram will be in the same element.
